Steve Jobs nikada nije volio Adobeov Flash Player za mobilne uređaje, što je i razlog zašto ga nećete naći na Appleovim proizvodima. Appleov stav je bio kako Flash nije potreban web pregledncima te se traba usredotočiti na HTML5.
Danas su se njihova stajališta i obistinila ako ćemo vjerovati emailu koji se nije trebao naći u javnosti, bar ne još.
Our future work with Flash on mobile devices will be focused on enabling Flash developers to package native apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores. We will no longer adapt Flash Player for mobile devices to new browser, OS version or device configurations. Some of our source code licensees may opt to continue working on and releasing their own implementations. We will continue to support the current Android and PlayBook configurations with critical bug fixes and security updates.
Adobe će nastaviti davati podršku za trenutnu verziju flash playera, ali će nastaviti s ulaganjem u HTML5. Samo da nepomenemo ove promjene se neodnose na Flash na računalima.
